It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of Morell Larue, one of our earliest and most regular members. Morell passed peacefully on July 3, 2018 from complications related to cancer. No one who has met Morell could avoid his infectious enthusiasm and joy.

I cannot say anything more eloquent than what was offered by his friend, Daryle Murray, so I will quote:

“It was with a Very Heavy Heart that I said Good Bye to my Best Friend, Morell LaRue last night at (11:55 PM July 3rd, 2018) He had complications from recent Colon Cancer and therapy treatments. He was the Ultimate MG Car Enthusiast! Owning three, all in British Racing Green! He, along with myself, established the Morelli Car Show Group in 2010. He continued annually sponsoring these shows until his health started diminishing after the 7th show in 2016. He was one of the founding members of the North American MGB Register, attending many National meets, and winning the MG 2010 Concours Top Point Winner with his exquisite 1967 MGB Roadster. He was Vice President of the MG Car Club of Oklahoma, and a Big Supporter of the Oklahoma British Car Breakfast Club. His friendliness,and never meeting a stranger attitude, will live on in all the people’s hearts that had the pleasure to know him. RIP Morell.”
