The 2019 Spring Tour was a success, and I think (hope) a good time was had by all.
We began in OKC, and headed south to Purcell to check out the VW Spider Bug. Sadly, my Mini wasn’t up for the trip so I became the sweep car in my Subaru. Still, better to be driving than not driving.
We managed to make it as far as Purcell before the Pumpkin Spice MGB had issues with a sticky brake caliper. The MGB had to retire to be replaced with a Volvo.
Next, due to some massive collision, we got to take a gravel, sand and dust detour, which still put us inside our “98% paved roads guaranteed”
After that, we wound our way through some wonderfully scenic roads in Southeastern Oklahoma, and finally arrived at our delightful little cabin in Hochatown, OK.
